Kmart: ‘Help Me, Kmart’ Pilot Episode

This project melted my heart. This pilot episode was produced in collaboration with Mushroom Creative House and the Reach Foundation. Reach brought a school to the table called Bowen Collage, an independent high school that supports teens that may not thrive in the education system for whatever reason. The school itself was dated and in desperate need of a refresh to inspire these students to learn, participate and socialise despite their circumstances at home.

The Mushroom team took their expertise in event planning and flipped this school over a single weekend. It was incredible to watch the students walk in on Monday morning, totally surprised and inspired to be there.

This episode was created as a pilot as such for Kmart and the Reach foundations initiatives to go beyond Bowen College. Directing this was a dream, and I’m very proud to be a part of the work.
